A few people have asked me to walk through every single option in the tool instead of just the quick version, so here is the full rundown. It looks like a lot written out, but in practice you will click through most of it in under a minute.
1. Paste Your Link
Start by dropping your menu link, Venmo or PayPal handle, website, Google Review page, or whatever you want people to land on when they scan. This is the one field that actually matters for the QR code to work, so test the link yourself before you print a big batch. Everything else on this page is just styling around it.
2. Skip the Template If You Just Want a Plain QR Code
If you do not need any of the sticker styling, just check "Just Give Me the QR Code" near the top. It hides the template picker and text fields and gives you a clean QR code on its own, still using whatever background and QR color you have picked. Good for people who already have their own design and just need the code itself.
3. Pick a Sticker Template or Write Your Own Text
There are 8 ready-made templates to choose from, things like "Scan to Order," "Menu Here," "Follow Us," and "Leave a Review," covering most of what small businesses actually need. If none of them say exactly what you want, use the "Write Your Own Text" box and type your own line instead, it will replace whatever template you had selected. There is also an optional Bottom Text field if you want a second short line under the QR code, like "Scan Me!" or your business name.
4. Error Correction Slider
This one controls how tough your QR code is. Slide it toward Low if you have a short link and no logo, and the pattern stays nice and simple. Slide it toward High and two things happen: the code can survive more damage or a bigger logo sitting on top of it, and the pattern itself gets visibly denser and more detailed, which a lot of people prefer just for how it looks on a sticker. If you are adding a logo, I would keep this on High.
5. QR Size Slider
This changes how big the actual QR code sits inside your sticker, separate from the overall sticker size. Bigger works better for storefront windows and counters where people scan from a few feet away, smaller is fine for packaging and boxes where people are right up close.
6. Sticker Background, Text Color, and QR Code Color
Three color pickers, each doing something different. Sticker Background sets the whole card color, including the backdrop that shows through around your logo, so it always matches instead of leaving a weird white box. Text Color changes your title and bottom text. QR Code Color changes the actual scan pattern itself, keep it dark enough against your background or a scanner might struggle to read it.
7. Upload Your Logo (Optional)
Click "Upload Your Logo" to drop your logo right in the center of the QR code. Once it is uploaded, a Logo Size slider shows up so you can make it bigger or smaller, it is capped at a safe limit so it never covers so much of the code that it stops scanning. There is also a "Remove logo" link if you change your mind.
8. Download and Print
Once everything looks right in the Live Preview, hit "Download QR Here." It renders a clean, high-resolution PNG, up to 2000px wide, and automatically sizes the sticker to fit your title and bottom text so nothing gets cut off or pushed outside the design. It takes an extra second or two at that quality, which is worth the wait for anything you are actually printing. From there, upload it to a printing site like Vistaprint or StickerMule, pick your size and material, and you are done. I go with vinyl waterproof stickers since my truck sits outside in the sun and rain all week.
Will the QR code still work with my logo in the middle?
Yes. This tool defaults to high error correction, meaning the code can lose a good chunk of itself and still scan just fine. Your logo only covers a small part of the middle, so your stickers with QR code will scan every single time. There is also an Error Correction slider now, so if you have a bigger logo or want extra padding, you can slide it up for even deeper correction. I check every batch with my own phone before I print, and it has never once failed on me.
What size should I print for product packaging?
For boxes and packaging, 1 to 1.5 inches is plenty. For store windows or countertops, go bigger, like 3 to 4 inches, so people can scan it from a few feet away. The file downloads at up to 2000px wide, and the sticker automatically grows to fit your title and bottom text so nothing ever gets cut off or pushed outside the design. That higher-quality file takes a second or two longer to generate, which is a fair trade for a crisper print.
Is this free forever or is there a catch?
